It's been awhile I know.... Well, we got moved to California from Seattle. At last!

The plane ride was fine. I was randomly selected to be screened before we got on the plane. We arrive at our gate. An announcement is made that our gate has been changed, we move to the other end of the terminal. Scott has his bag searched and is wanded down. Our gate is changed back to where we were before. We move again. Scott is wanded down a second time. The security person is trying to figure out how to wand me down with the baby in the pack on my front. We just made the last part of pre-board. The baby was in a chipper mood for the entire flight. We picked up our rental car and headed for corporate housing in Marina del Rey.

We walked in and said oh, not a bad size living room, where's the bedroom? Why is there no bedroom? Why are there handles sticking out of the wall? It was a Murphy bed. 400 square feet with a murphy bed and a baby. Oh joy. We lived there for 2 weeks.

We went to do the walk thru of our new place in Claremont on Halloween night. It's four bedrooms, 2 stories with a small backyard that's almost all patio slab. The patio is a plus for us as we don't do yard well. It also has a 2 car attatched garage. On the walk thru we found out that if you don't hook up the hose for the ice maker in your freezer when you turn on the cold water tap in the kitchen the water comes out the hose for the ice maker. Uh, we don't have an ice maker. The previous tennants didn't disconnect their phone so our's couldn't get hooked up. We were planning on continuing to use my cell phone but we couldn't get a signal in the house. The washer/dryer were delivered and the vent for the dryer doesn't go outside the house just into the wall. This is a fire hazard. The delivery guy can't hook it to the vent it just has to vent into the garage making everything very humid. The movers go to put together our futon and parts are missing. They can't put it together.

The next day my dad and Scott capped the ice maker hose so we could use the cold water tap. Our friends came over to help us unpack. The moving company sent someone out with the correct parts to put our futon together. My mom calls a friend of hers who comes over and cuts a vent for the dryer.

Three days later the city of Claremont notices my car parked on the street has expired registration and tows it away. After paying money to the DMV, the city and the tow yard I have my car back.

The phone finally got disconnected so our service could start yesterday.

Other than that the place is great!
